In today’s world, we are bombarded with countless ways to maintain fitness, build strength, stability and heal injuries. As an enthusiastic and dedicated dance student from a very young age, Brooke grew up with an understanding and awareness of the importance of physical fitness, maintenance and care. She saw the pitfalls of overtraining and identified the need for diverse knowledge in anatomy to understand and work in a movement training capacity. Thus, sparking her interest in remedial movement and its benefits for the human body and mind.
After more than 400 practical hours of Pilates training across a plethora of injuries, ailments and postures completed under the direction of well-established mentors and leaders in their field, Brooke achieved her Diploma in Pilates Method Instruction, consolidating her interest and knowledge of physiology through 10years experience using her Diploma of Remedial Massage, Myofascial, Trigger Point Release and Relaxation Massage. Dry Needling is also an important part of her restorative repertoire having gained this accreditation in 2017.
Brooke’s personal journey and passion for seeing people become stronger, fitter, happier versions of themselves was the driving force behind her connection with Pilates and Remedial Massage. She believes that of all the modes of exercise, Pilates is the heart. She has seen, experienced and produced results that confirm the words of system founder, Joseph Pilates – ‘Pilates develops the body uniformly, corrects wrong postures, restores physical vitality, invigorates the mind and elevates the spirit.’
Taking care of herself is important so when Brooke’s not at work she enjoys exploring and reconnecting with her Pilates practice, being outdoors in the garden, bushwalking and adventuring to new places with her family.
