Clinical Reformer Pilates

Clinical Reformer Pilates is only instructed by university qualified therapists. We apply our clinical skills first to assess, and then to treat your problem. The result is an individualised exercise based treatment program, specific to your needs.

CLINICAL REFORMER PILATES IS:

  • An individually tailored treatment method

  • Used in conjunction with mainstream physiotherapy techniques

  • Provided by the most highly trained therapists in the field

  • Unique and very different from the generic or Fitness Pilates

  • Designed to find and fix the root cause of an injury, not just the injury itself.

HOW CAN CLINICAL REFORMER PILATES AT ASTUTE HELP YOU?

  • Reduce pain and safely manage your injury

  • Improve strength and flexibility

  • Prevention of injuries

  • Faster recovery from injury

  • Core strength and posture development

  • An overall feeling of physical wellbeing, with improved posture, balance and motor control.

CLINICAL REFORMER PILATES is proving a valuable adjunct to Physiotherapy in the recovery, prevention and maintenance of injuries, assisting the healing process and reducing pain, stiffness and movement dysfunction.

WHERE TO BEGIN?! CLINICAL REFORMER PILATES ASSESSMENT:

  • At Astute we start with a Clinical Pilates Assessment where we take a detailed past and present medical history before assessing your movement patterns, mobility and flexibility. From there you will be guided through a number of sessions depending on your injury, skill and fitness. A portion of this assessment will be devoted to discussing your goals and making a plan as to whether you would like to continue 1:1 or integrate into small groups.

  • Our Group Pilates Sessions require all patients to complete their own tailored program (based on their specific injury or goals). The classes are fully supervised by a trained Physiotherapist to ensure safety and maximum results. There are a maximum of 6 people in each group class. Some people will naturally require more attention than others. If this is you, opting for the smaller class may better suit your needs.

At Astute, we are excited to offer this highly effective and popular treatment through our highly trained and experienced therapists. We welcome all ages and physical abilities to our Clinic.

Are you aware that Pilates with a Physiotherapist and Exercise Physiologist may entitle you to claim your sessions with your private health fund.
