Clinical Reformer Pilates is a specialized form of Pilates that focuses on rehabilitation and injury prevention. It uses reformer machines to offer controlled resistance, helping improve strength, flexibility, and posture while addressing individual health conditions or injuries.
Clinical Pilates at Astute is guided by highly experienced & university trained Physiotherapists & Exercise Physiologists, and is designed to target specific injuries or physical conditions. Regular Pilates, while also beneficial, focuses more on general fitness and may not provide the same level of individualized care and assessment.
Unfortunately, we require all new clients to complete an initial induction before joining our clinical reformer Pilates classes. This ensures your safety and helps us determine if Clinical Pilates is the appropriate treatment for you. Our classes are individually tailored, so it's important we understand your health, any past injuries, and your personal goals before you begin.
Our Standard Clinical Pilates Class Fees are as below

Clinical Pilates may be eligible for health insurance rebates, depending on your health insurance provider and coverage plan. We recommend checking with your insurer for specific details. At Astute, full payment is required and a receipt can be provided for Health Insurance Claims.
This varies depending on your goals and physical condition. Many clients find 1-2 classes per week beneficial for steady progress, while others with specific rehabilitation goals may attend more frequently. Your instructor will recommend the best plan for you after your initial assessment.
No referral is necessary to start our Clinical Reformer Pilates classes. However, if you're dealing with specific injuries or conditions, we may suggest consulting with your healthcare provider beforehand.
