Our Commitment to you
Here at Astute we value your time & your commitment to us to improve your health, that is why during your consultation you will receive our full attention. We also require the same level of commitment from yourself in order for us to achieve outstanding treatment results. This is why we enforce the following strict terms & conditions.
Cancellation Policy
We require a minimum of 24 hours notice of cancellation for all appointments and classes. This provides the practice the opportunity to offer the appointment to other clients from our waiting list.
Appointments cancelled within 24 hours will incur the full cost of the consultation fee.
This relates to all clients irrespective of your method of funding (i.e. workers compensation, motor accidents insurance). These fees are not covered by the third party and will need to be paid by the individual.
If two appointments have been missed or cancelled within 24 hours, prepayment of appointments will be required for any future appointments.
Missed & Late Appointments
For all clients who miss an appointment with no prior communication to Astute, the full consultation fee will be charged.
If you arrive late to an appointment, you may receive a shorter consultation in an effort not to inconvenience other clients waiting.
VOUCHER & GIFT CERTIFICATE -
TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Validity Period

Gift Certificates and Vouchers are valid for 36 months from the date of purchase, in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

Expiry dates are clearly stated on each voucher.

Expired vouchers will not be accepted.
2. Use of Voucher

Vouchers may be redeemed for eligible services provided by our clinic.

Vouchers cannot be redeemed for services that are prohibited under AHPRA or Medicare/health fund guidelines (e.g., cannot be used to pre-pay or discount services that require a clinical need determination).

Vouchers must be presented at the time of appointment (printed or digital).
3. Booking Requirements

Appointments are subject to availability.

The voucher holder must follow all standard booking, rescheduling, and cancellation policies.

Cancellation fees may apply if adequate notice is not provided.
4. Non-Transferable & Identification
Vouchers are not transferable to another person unless explicitly stated on the voucher.
The clinic reserves the right to request proof of identity for redemption.
5. No Cash Value

Vouchers are not redeemable for cash, and no cash or change will be given for any unused amount.

If the service value exceeds the voucher amount, the difference must be paid at the time of the appointment.
6. Refunds & Replacements

Vouchers are non-refundable after purchase unless required by the Australian Consumer Law.

Lost, stolen, or damaged vouchers will not be replaced unless proof of purchase is provided and the voucher has not been redeemed.
7. Restrictions

Vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with promotional offers unless specified.

Vouchers cannot be used for the purchase of other vouchers.
8. Clinical Services Disclaimer
-
For physiotherapy, women’s health, exercise physiology, and other clinical services, eligibility for treatment is subject to professional assessment.

If a clinician determines a service is not appropriate or safe for the voucher holder, the voucher may be used for alternative eligible services.
9. Online Purchases

For digital voucher purchases, email delivery times may vary. Please check your spam/junk folder if the voucher does not arrive immediately.
10. Acceptance of Terms
-
Use of a Gift Certificate or Voucher constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
